The Island has no shortage of luxury transportation, from the basic Lincoln Towncar limo to luxury Expeditions, helicopters to yachts and even horse-drawn carriages. A few limo rental companies are based on the Island with multiple others in nearby Beaufort and Bluffton. The companies recommend at least 48-hours notice on limousine reservations, but you’ll want to reserve much more in advance to ensure your transportation is available. For horse-drawn carriage arrangements, only one stable on Hilton Head offers rides or reservations, but, the center switched ownership early this year and the carriages have not been prepared yet. There are two centers on Daufuskie Island and another in Beaufort that can assist with a romantic horse-and-buggy ride with prices starting at $130 for champagne and goodies. Arrange for a helicopter to fly out of Savannah and pick you up for an arranged trip, or for boat rentals check out the Island’s many yacht clubs and marinas.
