One of the biggest fears for any bride is whether her flowers will turn out right or not. Hilton Head has more than ten different florists to choose from, from individual chains to grocery stores. Most experienced florists recommend choosing your flowers 8 months to a year before the ceremony for many different reasons: first, the flowers you have in mind may be seasonal and may or may not be flourishing in your wedding season and second, shipping costs and arrangement costs vary during the year according to economic trends and availability issues. Prices vary from the low hundreds—if you aren’t looking for the florist’s assistance with decorations—to the upper thousands if you are. Many flower shops recommend specific agencies for rentals and/or decorations such as tables, linens, and chairs but a few will already have their own supplies.
Be sure to show your florist exact pictures of what you want, instead of explaining to them, no matter how detailed you get. Many a bride is crestfallen when her bouquets arrive after she thought her florist could read her mind.
